might be an unsupported file format. have you downloaded all the update to the actual sofware? codec needed ect

im only guessing as im curtainly no wizkid on computers lol

Just 10 mins ago, i deleted and re-installed quicktime 7 bud!! Still does the same

lol, well i must of gone totally blind and stupid, but i cant make the b/\stardin thing work LOL

just downloading it to see if it works for me...needed to do it anyway...

did you install 7.03? I guess it is the same download as itunes 6 then?

I think the fundamental problem here is that Quicktime basically sucks, as I've experienced similar problems in the past (actually the real reason I think it sucks is that it's incredibly good at sucking up CPU cycles to no good end that I can see). Just reinstalled the thing a couple of times and eventually it kind of "went away", but that doesn't really help. It may be something to do with the way FF/Quicktime interact. Not sure. Sorry, doesn't help much.

My guess would be a codec issue if it plays some files...

What can't you open? What links work?

Let me know and I will see if I can spot the difference...

All the tests that AndyP put up (Maths, History etc) I couldnt open any of them, but at my mates, no probs!!

Yup i agree that real player and quicktime are both a complete waste of time and money and hdd space....so I have installed real alternative, which is a codec for real player files but still allows me to use a decent media player (winamp)! If only someone could make an AOL alternative ;)

HTH

Yeah Sh1t time is sh1te, like all the other media players, had to download god knows how may Codecs to watch p0rn in the past few days for Windows Media player vs. 9. FFS version 9, you would have assumed that they would have got it spot on by now! LOL :D
