Coming back from inspecting one of my rental properties I passed the Jaguar plant at Castle Bromwich (Birmingham). Coming out the gate came two brand new (not for sale yet) XK's - one soft top, one hardtop. Absolutely stunning cars - a vast improvement on the current XK series. Especially the soft top! Looks a lot like an Aston DB9. Then on the M42 (watch out for all those hidden speed cameras on the overhead gantries!!!!) came across a new Viper (sorry SRT10). Very nice to see they re-introduced the side exhausts - sounds awsome at 70mph. Coming off at J3 on the M42 I was following a Lambo Murcielago Spider (!). Lovely silver, vents open, top down - absolute stunner of a car. A young chap was driving it like a granny so it's probably "daddy's" ... It's great to see the fortuned British public out in their finest automobiles when the sun comes out!
On a sadder note, someone drove into my Zed this afternoon in the carpark of a shopping centre. I tend to park a bit "antisocially" by taking up one and a half spaces to prevent doors crashing into my car but aparently someone tried to be clever and scraped the front wing and bumper. Luckily it has polished out and isn't too visible anymore. Oh well, another reason to get the car to the bodyshop and get her sorted!
I'm off the do some more "topless" driving in this fine weather - see ya!
