Does anyone have a high-resolution pic of this wheel they can post up please? I've just bought what I thought was one of these off of eBay only to find that it looks kind of cheap and crap. Would like to compare with the real thing just to be sure.

I bought:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8009085148&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1#ebayphotohosting

Now feeling slightly silly. The picture in the ad is clearly the real thing, if you cross-check with the one on GetGreddy.co.uk, but whereas I thought I was getting a real bargain, I think in fact I've just been stiffed.

Just want to be absolutely sure it's not genuine though (put it like this, if it was I'd be well annoyed at having spent £180 on it).

Thanks,

Bart

That's a copy

How can ya tell Chris

Apart from the saying - "if its too good/cheap to be true - it probably is"

unfortunatly it doesnt mention MOMO anywhere on the ad, so there isnt a great deal you can do about it bud!

What he said and seen them 1001 times before i'm afraid bud :( report it to ebay and get a refund.

Yeah, I know. However, (i) it also doesn't say it's a (very poor) replica, and (ii) he's used the Momo logo, in such a way as to (I think) constitute trying to pass it off as the real thing. Think I'm going to have a chat to my local trading standards office.

Forgot to say. Thanks for the quick replies, particularly from Chris, confirming my suspicions.

Yeah, I'll drop him a line later. Looks like I might have a lucky escape here. :) Know better for next time though.

Thanks everyone,

Bart

print off the ad too - before it disappears ;)

Why do you do that jeff? I have in the past removed your pics, deleted your advert then reposted, yet you still push things, why would an obviously intelligent person push a reasonable person to the point of being unreasonable? This is the last time

Cheers bud. That looks really nice, whereas mine looks like it was assembled from poor quality materials in the back of somebody's shed. Gutted. Be saving my pennies for a real one from Chris now methinks.

Looks like a genuine Momo wheel in the ad to me.

i have one of these (a genuine one... at least i hope so  ) and it seems that the one in the ad is a lot thinner at the top of the wheel than mine - not-brilliant piccie is in my rides somewhere.

Well I emailed the guy on Friday, but he still hasn't got back to me. Think I'm going to give him until tomorrow and then get in touch with eBay.

Cheers,

Bart

:( Good luck buddy!! I hope you get it sorted

Cheers Rich, I think it'll get sorted in the end. Just a case of being patient, or at least trying to be.
