Posted October 13, 200519 yr ok, i have unknowingly misadvertised my car (fair enough). but why not simply tell me to remove the unallowed wording , which i would readily change, and let me keep the advert live??????? they are going to inform all bidders of this (which now makes me look very dodgy), and have taken my car off! when i went to check if they had removed it there are loads of other zeds advertised in the exact same manor!!!    im all for ridding ebay of dodgy dealers but i think this is just stupid!! below is the mail they just sent me: We appreciate that you chose eBay to list the following auction-style listing(s): 4581680797 - NISSAN 300zx 300 zx TURBO NOT GTO, SUPRA, RX7, SUBARU, However, your listing was in breach of eBay's Keyword Spamming policy and has been removed from eBay. We have credited all associated fees to your account and notified eBay users associated with the transaction that it has been cancelled. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what part of your listing is not permitted. Your listing(s) contains the following information: NOT GTO, SUPRA, RX7, SUBARU, Keyword spamming is not permitted on eBay. This occurs when members place brand names or other inappropriate keywords in a title or description for the purpose of gaining attention or diverting members to a listing.
October 13, 200519 yr Ebay doesnt like GTO's Poopras Rx-r and scoobies. hehe sorry to hear that though.

Probably some one grassed you up probably. But I can see their point, it gets on my nerves when I search for 300ZX and I get lists of other cars because it says NOT 300ZX
October 13, 200519 yr Author yep i agree, it is sometimes annoying when you type in 300zx and you get loads of stuff not 300zx. but even so, thought this was a bit harsh and even unfair. just trying to get my car as noticed as much as poss. TBH i only added the NOT GTO etc cos i see so many others doing it!!! im innocent i tell you!!!!!! ;)
October 13, 200519 yr poss. TBH i only added the NOT GTO etc cos i see so many others doing it!!! im innocent i tell you!!!!!! ;) And if every one else jumped off a cliff would you too? ;)
October 13, 200519 yr IMO it seems fair. Why should I have to troll through dozens of irrelevant stuff when I search because people put spamming words in the description? Just my opinion...but if people put sensible descriptions then it would be easier to find the things you want...fairly simple really...
October 13, 200519 yr Nothing personal to you mate, I know it was innocent but I hate it when people do that, really piss*s me off when trying to look for things. I like your doggy though!
October 13, 200519 yr Ebay doesnt like GTO's Poopras Rx-r and scoobies. hehe sorry to hear that though. does anyone LOL   [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
October 13, 200519 yr Author And if every one else jumped off a cliff would you too? ;) point taken, i am an idiot and deserve everything i get :o .............readvertised without the NOT blah, blah , blah! :D
October 15, 200519 yr i have to admit im glad eBay have finally woken up and disallowed title spamming - was well annoying.
October 15, 200519 yr Good point...when was the last time anyone saw a lemming? Mind you, if you see one, there are usually millions of them so when was the last time anyone saw millions of lemmings???
October 15, 200519 yr sorry i disagree to grab attention of other jap owners i think the money ebay make out of people there being a bit OTT doesnt bother me as some items for EG a boost controller can be fitted for many applications ie 300 rx7 skyline,so i dont see the problem personally IMO
October 15, 200519 yr good point Greg, I think eBay need to be careful as sometimes it can be genuine, eg: Blitz Boost Controller, fits 300ZX, Poopra, GTOh, Skyline, etc. is genuine advertising, but to advertise your car as 300ZX NOT Poopra etc. is a bit of spamming. Sorry Gaz not a dig at you mate, spam in the item title tends to swamp what youre trying to search for IMO.
October 15, 200519 yr Author im not going to argue whether i was wrong or right (ok maybe i was wrong :o ), my point was that im certainly not out to try and con anyone, and IMO it was only a small wrongdoing. they managed to email me to say it was being removed.........why not at least give us the benefit of the doubt and tell me to edit the title and allow us to keep the ad going? just feeling a bit hard done by :(
October 15, 200519 yr i think youre right Gaz - eBay should have given you the chance to amend the title. what they did was well harsh. :nono: they should at least give you a refund for the cost of listing

October 15, 200519 yr well thats one thing. you could always put in your description: relisted due to timewasters (eBay), lol.

October 15, 200519 yr they managed to email me to say it was being removed.........:( Shame they didnt manage to email me when I was ripped off by someone on ebay, maybe its easier to deal with someone spamming than it is to sort out a dispute   got to agree though spamming is a pain when your searching for something so its good they are trying to stop it.
