but it fooking stinks...

they also like rice, and chicken make sure the chicken is free of skin and bone though

hi chris , had the same problem with my boxer i bought tripe from a butcher and boiled that for him ( if he doesnt eat that then take him to the vet and have him xrayed my boxer had swallowed a half eaten tennis ball they cant put food in if they cant pass it out ).......they love tripe and also fish from the chippie so i would be surprised if he doesnt go for that ....if i remember right my dog used to turn away from kibble as well tried him on cheap as chips dog food like chappie he wolfed it down .....they are strange dogs but perfect for families and house pets .........good luck mate

Steve,

Dont think i'm being funny or having a go fella, but fish for a dog from a chip shop is a very bad idea mate.

chippy's use fillets of fish, and have can have small bones in them, you can feed them fish, but make SURE it's boneless.

More so for a young pup.

Fookin tripe :hurl: ewwwwwwwwwwwwww let the mrs cook that then :D

Thanks guys, Get some pics posted

Where from mate ?

I get it from our local market mate, but im fairly sure ive seen it in tesco, its a blue square pack..

your right about the fish from the chippie , my dog used to get bonless stuff that the chippie had prepared for him. ....everyone had a soft spot for Mac ,hes long gone now though , cancer took him at 8 years old , broke my heart , he was a great dog and a fantastic companion , still miss him especially as we are talking about boxers at the moment and its been nearly ten years since i had no choice and had to have him put to sleep

That has to be the hardest thing to do mate...

our's can be a pain in the butt at times, but still so funny when she plays up...

she is part of the family now

in fact, she rules it lol

well ive had my staffy at some dog behavior lessons and the first thing they said to sort out for any kind of dog is the food it eats.

the majority of the well known brand dog foods are rubbish (apparently!). we were told to steer clear of the foods that have got beef/pork in them as a dog wouldnt ever eat one of these in the wild. so we were told to stick to things with chicken/fish/lamb in it.

also when i got my dog i was told to mix its dry food with cooked chicken or fish...........wrong again so i was told!

it was described to me as cooking yourself a roast dinner and then putting a fresh cod on top of it! you got a meal (in the dry food) with all the neccessary vitamins etc so why put something else in???

we use a brand of food called "james wellbeloved". it doesnt have alot of the rubbish that other food companies throw in.

im not saying all this is right or wrong just passing on what i have been told.

Bought him that yesterday, see how i get on with that

if a dog stops eating it is usually to do with his ssense of smell being inhibited, try pouring gravy over his food

what if he eats microwaves?

what if he eats microwaves?

and washing machines, walls, doors and the inside of a car, oh yes and being held down and stomach pumped after consuming 36 dish washer tablets and a bottle of comfort :headvswal
