I'm trying to get hold of it, if anyone has it and could do me a copy I would be very greatful. Extensive torrent searching and p2p searching has proved fruitless :( I just fancy a bit of good old hardcore shooting!

I wish I had more of a game playing attitude. But I dont play games so I spose I'm a bit boring really?

did you get the PM Ben?

You can still get 'em on ebay (if you don't mind dealing with a self-righteous two-faced internet auction house that does sod all to protect its users from fraud):

Cheers, they are going for pennies on there!

ow how Do you know how big the file on the CD is, as I have found a torrent claiming to be "Quake I PC Full" and is 18MB....surely not!?!?!

No mate, did you add me to msn messenger? benlawton86@hotmail.com

You should have a go at playing some games vini, there are 1000's types out there, surely something to suit you! I personally like all out action games, from the first person, and also ones which require you to think. For example try half-life. Its a fantastic game, still one of the best IMHO, not too complicated, but it does require you to think about it, the storyline is great and you kill loadsa (and i mean LOADS) of stuff along the way!

Did you try Limewire, you inspired me to go look, and Im currently downloading Quake III.

On a side not...does anyone know a good place to get a copy of Juiced (obviously to replace my damaged purchased version), and what sort of filesize it should be ?

(PC Racing game, with 300zx in)

I have it on xbox with my own custom maccamobile (699 bhp zed) but i don't know how big the file on pc is. It is around 1300MB on the xbox if this is any help.

I have looked on limewire and can only find quake 3, quake 3 arena, and quake 2 all of which I have ;) Apparently you can get quake 4 from there, its a 'leaked' version, slightly skeptical though! Dont forget the find a "no-cd" crack for it too matey!!

got quake 2,but not the first one......

Yeah i love quake II as well, fantastic game!!

It could be even smaller than that. Remember that before the cd's became more poplular in the mid-late '90 everything was stored on 1.44mb floppies.

When did it come out.... 1996 wasn't it? Could well have come on floppies, but i would have thought the 3D engine would take up bulk space?

its on torrentreactor.........a bit torrent site......

Cheers, found it :D

A bit like HL2 and san andreas?

Quake came out on CD, not floppy. It was probably around 400MB.

I am pretty sure it is one of the ones I recently threw away...soz guys...

theres one seeded on torrentspy..........

would it be possible to post the link to the torrent please bud?

The 3D wasn't really "real" 3D, take for example a tree or a lamp, it would look the same from whichever angle you look at it's the same image you see. I don't remember if it was like this in Quake 1, but the technique was widely used back then. Quake 1 was released May 31, 1996 :)

I'm sure I've got Quake on CD somewhere. Still have Q2 and Q3 on my hard drive and still play some DM from time to time.
