well unfortunatly i wont be getting the lambo after all, there will be a problem registering it now, as it was incorrectly registered and wasnt correct when the registration amnesty was running 4 years ago, i would have to strip the car down, check the frame and pipes inc electrics. then re fit the body take it for sva and then they give you a list of failures to correct then you have it re tested and then re- register it, too much cash and *****x for me.. and the guy up there wouldnt try to mot it for me either so im a little suspect.. so i have had to let it go.

I did a similar thing a while ago when I first started driving - Wanted something a little different for my first car so I was gonna buy one of these....

 

 

Unfortunately, the seller, who lived 200 miles away turned out to be an absolute jester and the whole thing was a disaster... Similar situ to you I think! Anyway, as a young and optimistic lad, I was not put off by this - Instead of buying something sensible, oh no not me! I went and bought one of these -

 

 

What an awesome car it was... Seemed... er wasn't! It was an absolute nightmare (the whole 2 weeks of owning it)!! The seller was quite dodgy too!

 

I reckon kit cars are best well alone mate - I learned the hard way and by the looks of it so did you!

Good will always come out of a bad situation if you look at it like a lesson. I cant see why you are upset really PK? You just said the car was a wrong-'n' So you aint got the lambo but keep eyes peeled and I bet a better car more suitable will come along.

ah no thats not the end of it.. fkn dvla have rung said all is ok to re-register as it uses most of the doner parts, their mistake!

 

however wife put a fkn spanner in the works by playing up and all the other crap women put on..

after speaking with dvla, vosa and my local garage and a few very good people off the replica club. i am now gonna have that lambo.

 

tomnorrow i have to explain to my wife that i dont give a fuk and she can basically kiss my arse.. yes it may cause an arguement or two, but thats life...

 

what topped it off was me giving into here again and today she told me she felt guilty about me not having it, so i told her" if you ever tall me to get rid of the fairlady you can ****off" she says" i wont, theres nothing wrong with it" however she went on about the lambo being impractical.. um... well whats the fkn zed then..?? it dont run on fresh air.. and one of those turbos costs more to replace than a major overhaul of the lambo... jesus.. well..

as for the mot / tax thing as long as you have an mot booked your ok for that but not sure about the tax has the vehicle been declared SORN ??

yes its on a sorn as far as i know,

I'd have thought you'd be OK, as, if it's on a SORN, then you can't take it off the SORN without a tax disc... You can't get a tax disc without an MOT!! So you have to take it for an MOT before you can get a tax disc!! See, simple :D

well i have booked my mot for the car, all done, however the old bill may take offence to me taking it to my local mot station, albeit 400 miles away!!.
