A BOY RACER CAR

Think your girlfriend needs to get some new friends

I do strongly disagree with your g/f's mate .

BUT unfortunately, with Z prices the way they are at the minute, she may have a point :(.

It might have been an NA Auto with a garish body kit on, some Venoms, Neons and a huge alloy rear wing....in which case, she's kinda right in a way. ;)

A typical car like a Hothatch or modified "regular" car is a boy racers car. :headvswal

The 300zx is a Very High performance sports car (was labelled Japan's First Supercar by the media) and was designed to be the best sports car in the world.

Its a Porsche rival, cost not far off £40k 10 years ago and was aimed at Wealthy Car enthusiasts. (mainly Rich Businessmen).

On top of that, a typical boy racer is in his Teens or early 20's , yet the average Zed owner age (there was a recent poll) is 31 years old, and we have many members in their 40's & 50's....and even 60+

Hope She's OFF your Christmas Card List..........

Tell her to get back in the bloody kitchen, and leave the important things to us men.

no, more of a midlife crisis racer :slap:

no, more of a midlife crisis racer :slap:

Oooohhhh - hammer, nail, head spring to mind

To be quite honest. The clue is in the title......."BOY"

A "BOY" would not be able to afford to use a 300ZX. A Boy racer car is a normal everyday car which has been made to look like a sports car. The 300ZX is already a sports car. Would she call a porche or ferrari owner a boy racer?

It might have been an NA Auto with a garish body kit on, some Venoms, Neons and a huge alloy rear wing....in which case, she's kinda right in a way. ;)

whats the relavence of the NA part fella :xxx: no need an na is still a Z

show her all the nissan ads for THE GREATEST SPORTSCAR IN THE WORLD...tell her about the racing and history of the z from the early datsuns and then feed her to the z club hth

gaz lol

Boy racers are exactly that... little twats in underpowered shopping carts with stereo systems worth more than 4 times the value of the car going round causing aggro and accidents racing round the local mcdonalds - burger king special stage...

By very defintion a 3 Litre Twin Turbo 300 bhp as standard coupe cannot be a Boy Racer car...

Right, is anyone else going down Southend tonight? :x: lol

FPMSL I didn't see this, that's the perfect answer!

Shameful   :nono: :nono: how could any person describe these cars as 'boyracer' :headvswal . Next we will all be chav's...............then we are fooked LOL

Now where's my neons!!!????..........................................fook!!

Unfortunately the newer Z owner is getting younger due to prices and that is probably what the general perception will be soon! IMHO

Just because you are young does NOT make you a boy racer! I know many people who are 17 - 25 who are most definitely not boy racers, and i also know quite a few 30+ year olds who should NOT be on the road because they drive like penises. What about reps in their company 3 series driving at full throttle everywhere, surely they are also a hazzard? Ok so its not a hot hatch, but its not a real BMW and it certainly doesnt justify driving it everywhere at twice the speed limit.

I'm sick to death of being tared with the same brush and because of these chavs insurance for under 30's is insanely expensive. Also now bacause of these stereotypes i cannot drive a fiesta or saxo or whatever as i will be labeld as a boy racer, yet i cannot afford a real car as insurance companies take the same view and refuse to insure me on a real car.

And as far as "boy racer cars" goes, what a load of bull! A suburu impreza is an affordable performace car, so automatically it is a boy racer car. The zed is becoming affordable to younger people, so automatically some assume it is a boy racer car. Because young people in general can only afford to drive 106's, fiestas, saxo's, clios etc does not make them boy racer-mobiles, it is the people who drive them. I can assure you short of bentleys there wont be any cars which arnt owned by at least one ' boy racer ' !! Do NOT, however label small hatch backs as boy racer cars just becaus of what they are.

This is directed at the person who called the zed a boy racer car, not to the members of this forum as i am sure you are all slightly more grown up and intelligent to realise what I have said is true.

totally agree i feel that i have worked my knackers off to get the z and i feel i am an enthusiast rather than just an owner.

I go through great pains to maintain my car and try and keep it a z car.....I dont know how some of you guys percieve me when i go to meets do you see an enthusiast or a boy racer as i am only 24.

might start a poll lol...

also at what age do you consider a z owner should be ?? in my opinion its when you can respect the car for what it is a piece of history and a great sports car ...now lets stop this bull sh!t and agree that its

"THE GREATEST DAMN SPORTS CAR IN THE WORLD!!!

women should stick to cooking...
