I'm after the link to the site that does the Download Speed checking, that was posted on here a while ago. I've been looking and just can't find it anywhere.

I've checked out some other ones on-line, but they give the result as one figure, where-as this other one showed you both the Download and Upload separatley (if you see what i mean ;) )

TIA

theres a tweak test you can do, and then enter your system cpu etc and line spped and it will give you settings to enter into a program you can get from there called drtcp, with this you can spped things up a bit, my adsl connects at 2.8 mb on a 2 mb line now

3. ICMP (ping) check

Target unpingable

Notes and recommendations:

Choose RWIN between 5840 and 10220 (FAQ #586)

download/use DRTCP .. (FAQ #578)

Read the tweak FAQ

Notes and recommendations:

Good data stream (no/few rexmits)

Notes and recommendations:

Become pingable

if you need basic packet loss tests done

Check tweak FAQ

Now what??

I got 253 K/s - 2024 Kbps... no idea what that is but I got a smiley face. So that was cool. :D

anyone else on Blueyonder 4meg

I got 972Kbps on one test and a transfer efficiency of 99% on one of the others

I'm happy :D

well the first section is a settings list for you to enter into drtcp. when entered restart the pc, also remember that you can set the RWIN number to higher setting this will speed things up however dont over do it or you will suffer from data stuttering as it will not process fast enough
