Insurance. Again! Yes I know I know

How much more is insurance with TC? Aprox % wise.

I just read the Glenn has to sell some stuff cos he has his 3 mods and wont allow him more. Is this any 3 mods. Wouldnt they consider the kit and the alloys as 2?

I am just wondering cos I want to get a air filter and decat my car. Thats as well as the TC on it and the Mongoose. That will be 4 mods and people wont really insure me.

Stu is it an import and is it your daily driver?

Have you considered low mileage policies of say 3,000 miles/annum??

Its a UK car and unfortunaly it is my daily car too. I want a run around car, but I cant afford one, firstly it means that I will have to start with 0 no claims. I was looking at a cheap metrol 1.5 disel but the insurance was rediculas

The situation im in re: NorwicH Union is peculiar to Norwich Union, three mods and thats it.

I think Tesco dont rate your premiun by mod, only by BHP increase and the % is worked out on BHP increase not mods.

Others do this aswell, cant remember the companies but im sure someone will recommend one.

The reason im selling is NU give me cover F/C for 700squid and everyone else wanted 2k frown.gif

Peace.

Glen, glen, glen, o' dear Glen...

You haven't got this worked out...

You just dont declare the extra mods wink.gif

OK, thats not to everyones tastes..

BTW Bell Direct are the same (for males under 25 at least) - 3 mods and yer out boyo.. Even a new leather interior would load my insurance by £170!

And if your JWT was for an auto, I'd take it.. but it's not, so I wont.. as it'd be useless.. I'm rambling, it's far too late for me to be up..

Crap I forgot to answer Stuarts post;

Yep, each mod is seperate, including wheels & kit (for example). Every change from factory spec should be declared, unless it was a factory option at the time the car was manufactured.

If you're like me, you just dont declare them (on the Z at least, on the Renault I declare everything - brakes, chip, filter, exhaust, alloys).

As Glen says, different companies, different policies.. But usually when yer under 25, it's hard to get mods covered reasonably..

but if you dont declare them and u had an accident then you are not insured so there is not much point in insuring the car in the first place and if you also got court you would lose your license so i would declare evrything i do to my car mod wise cos loosing my license is too much for me
