I know it has an oil leak, but apart from that and the paintwork would this be a good buy at £2000 or does the oil leak spell disaster?

well depends on how much you have to sort the problems? always keep money aside for potential probs... oil leak on the rocker covers is a hag to do its a plenum off job which is time consuming..

paintwork should only be done by a recommended bodyshop (unless you are a sprayer by trade ect) to get it to look right especially on met grey.are con would have to be regasses with either a drop in gas or converted as the origional gas r12 is now illegal expect to pay around £100 to get this done.

all in my opinion of course

hth

gaz

Air con needs regassing

Where did it leak too? THe pipes could have a leak

the tracking needs to be set

Why doesnt he pay the £20 to get it done? This is either a very lazy seller or its just more than tracking.

Rocker covers have slight oil leak

Its hard to see under all the plenum, it could be head gasket depending on where he thinks the leak is coming form.
