Can you stop the auction if you aren't going to get the money you expected?

If you stop the auction do you get charged the final value fee still?

Has anyone sold a car over E-bay?

How did you find it?

Thanks in advance for any help guys (and girls)!

If there isn't an option for stopping the bid (I'm not familiar fit E-bay) Make a new account, and make the biggest bid with that one. That’s one way to do it, maybe against the rules, but when you really think about it why would you care about the rules if you will loose i.e. three grand.. Just my opinion so don’t take it to seriously :p

I have seen enough Zs on Ebay to realise they go for FA and if you want to make any sort of money back use Auto Trader. And there are a lot of con men on ebay to.

No no no lol Not for my baby! I'm not selling my pride and joy for 3 poxy grand or whatever the silly money they are going for now they are worth so much more than that!

It's for my Citroen Xantia... might just put up ads in local shops etc. it seems kinda pricey through E-bay... considering I'm selling it for under a grand

Just wanted some input from anyone who had sold their car through E-bay... always good to get advice from others who have had the experience

And I have never bought or sold anything off E-bay, so I don't know what it's all about... :p takemetothepub ;)

Depends how much time is left to go. I think if it's less than 12 hours you are obliged to sell but if it's more you can just relist it and hope to get more money or withdraw.(I think)

What you should have done is put "advetised elsewhere i have the right to withdraw at any time" so if ya dont get the money for it then no probs ask the last bidder to get close to advertised price "elswhere" as they are willing to go !!
