Helpfull car parts contact.

Just to let you guys know before Christmas I was supplied a part for my Zed (a uk spec ecu) from a firm called A1 Jap Spares. They seemed to have quite a few parts for the Zed. I was shocked to find they had what I was after as UK Spec ecu's seem hard to come by. (BTW cost was £250.00 ). There number is 0161 6822221 and they were very helpfull. May be worth giving them a call if anyone is trying to track down a part for their car.

Just curious fella, did you have your existing one tested, i see quite a few firms in North west can test ECU's on and off the car, what determined that the ECU was fooked? and if you kept the old one,i know a guy who makes chips for Nissan's, not our's, would yours be available for research purposes, cheers, smithy cool.gif

Hi there Smithy.

The car just kept running in safety boost mode and the fan was running constantly. I have a good idea that the ECU got damaged when I had the chip socketed. Sorry to say M8 but the old one is gone.I did have the option to get it tested at the time but it would have meant I would not have had the car back before Christmas. BTW M8 how is your car going. Did you get a chance to use it over the Holiday??.

Yea been there, its in Manchester, not too far from the Comonwealth Stadium.

It is a dump to say the least.

They do have good stock, I could see 3 Zs from what I could see and I could only see about 20% of the cars. If you want stock alloys they have loads lying around.

The problem is they are quite expencive. I got a dash from them, £150 when a new one is £300 and they want £50 for a new door handle when a new one is £97.

My story is I e-mailed them if they had a dash, yes they did, I went there, waited for 30mins and they came out and said that they didnt, and to goto a another scrapyard about 3 miles away.

They did, and they had about 5 Z engines in the garage, along with Supra, GTO/300GT, RX-7.

I contacted them ref brake caliper..£125 + the nasty + postage and packaging = £180 ish....got two calipers from someone on the forum £40....

I think they are expensive...

But prob worth a try if struggling..

Just my 2p worth..
