lol....This may have some bearing on the noise level me thinks

Not sure why it did what it did but i was doin about 70mph ;) and one of the old re-circ blanking plugs(had new ones made now) popped out and caused it to misfire and it would only rev to about 4500 max with the symptoms of a dodgy maf but within a few secounds the exhaust tone suddenly doubled and I think this was the reason...the middle box had shot its load

but why did it blow a hole 5" hole in it?

Anyone?

Because of an ill fitted Flamer kit!! :D

But seriously, if its a mild steel box (and it looks like it is) once they start to go, they really go!!

Now, stop whoring and get it fixed! :p

to much petrol in your exhaust ingniting and blowing up yout zorst

my mate did it with an xr3, by turning off the ignition (while driving) flooring the accelorator and then bump starting it while still on the move (oh yeah nearly forgot he is a nob head) lol

I went to a place yesterday and he pulled it of and measured it up and has made a set of straight through pipes for me

Im going back this afternoon for him to cut me flanges off  and weld them on the new pipes.

Its looking good so far...He said it would be under £100 and seeing as no one seemed to be able to supply a set of straight through pipes for me I thought this would see me through till I get new backboxes with the whole pipe as one piece.

(Incidently the baffles inside were just rolling about as free as the wind )

lol...yer..i was hoping id have the bent pipes but he made this while i waited so i went with it for now as it will all be replaced when i get new backboxes when they go with those pipes all in.

I have noticed that witht he blown middle box i definately had more power...not just the noise makin me think it but there was defo more ooommppph witht he blown box...

I wonder if hteres some kind of system i could make to relesae the air before the back boxes but keep it a bit quieter than b4 as I miss the extra ommppphhh...but i dont miss the ear plugs
