NZR. Digital camera problem

One for the I.T guys.

I have just got hold of a 128 mb compact flash card for my Kodak 3400, it was previously used in a canon camera (not sure which type). I can read and write to it with the usb reader but my camera cannot access it and just powers down. I have tried formatting it but with no success.

I suspect that the Canon and Kodak cf formats are incompatible. Is there any way to completely trash everything on the card including all partition info and formatting as the manual for my camera says it will automatically reformat a new blank card. The other problem is that since I can only access the card via the usb reader I cannot use any dos apps.

Thanks.

Steve

I think some cameras can only use upto a certain size of memory card.

Your camera may only be able to use max 64mb card.

Just found this http://www.nomatica.co.uk/photo/dc3400.htm

According to this, it can take 128mb cards, so all I can think of is damaged or in compatible
