spin city?

has my zed got a problem.? if i go round a corner, usually a roundabout, and put my foot down a bit the back end goes for one!

i was goin round a roundabout on thursday and i put my foot about halfway down on the gas, and the car did a complete 180 spin - in the middle of leicester, right in front of county hall! luckily it was late and nobody was around. it was good fun anyway!

i keep doing power slides round bends 'by accident'

i'm stilll driving it with the busted centre bearing. it'll probably bust the u -joint or whatever but never mind. i can't go out in my nova when i've got a zed.

ps. i saw a G reg black zed in Rothwell, in northamptonshire on friday afternoon, ??? anyone?

anyway, whatever, happy christmas everyone, hope the meet was good.

Half way is alot!

What tyres have you got on. I had Kuhmos and they made the back end drift out all the time. Now, with SO2s I have to try and make it kick out.

If your Zed is an import, it's probably still got crappy Japanese spec. tyres on.They tend to be a lower speed rated, harder compound which isn't much good in our wet and COLD climate.

JEZ

lol ueah ours does that its the fault of the well dodgy jap tyres. Was great fun todqay though cos it was dry and they are ok in the dry. The amount of boy racers that took us on and lost miserably was hilarious!

Hey you lot!Just take it easy,Or your next post could be.BREAKING 300zx ALL SPARES AVAILABLE APART FROM SHELL! frown.gif frown.gif frown.gif.

to be honesti think its the tyres.

i have got a yokohama on 1 side and its on backwards. it says 'side facing inwards' on the outside. that might have something to do with the sliding problem!!!

Veilside me old fruit bat, please tell me you are taking the piss biggrin.gif

A backwards tyre wont help and in the wet. This would cause the tyre not to disperse the water correctly. Not good at all. Get that sorted!

I know what you mean MAC.

I was goin round a roundabout on thursday and i put my foot about halfway

Halfway is alot really.

Things are getting slippy. I have the TC on and when just going round corners slowly I hear the car missfiring. Nothing major, just the car touching some ice.

Please everyone, please take it easy, especially at this time of the year

sadly i;m not joking about the tyre. thats how it cam from japan.with a quality brand new yokohama that was fitted on the wrong side!!

oh dear. i tried to beat someone off the lights in the centre of leicester the other day, i got about 30yards and the back end started snaking, so i had to back off a bit.

i've now got a phoebia of overtaking anyone on a single carriageway type road incase when i indicate to pass them, the back end might twitch and shoot my ass into the nearest hedge!!

still the good news is nobody has stolen my car yet. many days christmas shopping and no break ins - touch wood. i keep unpluggin the spark plugs just in case!!

Also, even if you put it on the right way, it probably wont be UK legal, tyres have to be 'E' marked, your tyres may well be, but if the police/insurnace person/mot person are clued up, and the tyres arent 'E' marked, the tyres are illegal, tax is void, insurance is void etc etc.

It really is worth, saving as quick as possible and getting a Full set of new tyres. They really work wonders on all cars, just take it easy till they are worn in a bit, otherwise you wil just rip out chunks of tread.

You shouldnt skimp on tyres, they are the only point of contact between the car and the road, plus with good tyres you can scare people a lot more, with better acceleration, more grip and also far improved braking. Cos that tyre, indeed non uk designed tyres mustnt be helping your braking at all, what is it currently like, you must be squirming all over the show.

See ya
