Anybody ever use those 12 V dc to 240V AC inverter thingys to power a laptop etc in the car? I wondered if they have enough oomph to give a wide boy a belt when he tries his stuff. Thought about wiring the output to the lock barrel and having it arm with the alarm. Scrot brain then gets ect treatment when he tries to force it.

Scrots seem to have struck a lot of Zs even with alarms. Even mine must have been hit soemtime in its history cos its got a new door skin at some time and I found a spare handle and lock mech under the boot panels when I got the car.

Other thing you could do is wire it to one of them slinky spring thingys - stretch it round the inside of your car when parking in dodgy places and wire to the aforesaid inverter powered up when you arm your alarm of course and are safely out.

It shouldnt draw much power when there's no load on the inverter. But you could be right if parked up and alarmed for days and days.

Try a 50,000 uf (micoafarra) capasitor, available in your local Maplin store, on neg earth to ground, = £30 or so. approx 20.000 volts!!! for .5 ms. just give him a bog roll when you unstick his didgets from the handle. & ask him to ring 999 for you!

Reason being, TWOC'ing twat gets electrocuted - dies - you're up for manuslaughter. You get to join that guy from the farm who's in Nick for shooting burglars. Hero, maybe - at least buy the time you're out you'll be able to pick up a 350z for about five grand!

 

Got to be careful with electricity. The kind of kick from a charged capacitor that would hurt on a dry day, could easily stop someones heart if they are wet through.

 

Even if it doesn't kill 'em. If they report it to the Police, what are they going to get - 5 hours community service for trying t o nick a car? You'd probably get banged up!
