Cruise control not accelerating?

Hi all,

Don't know if anybody has any suggestions, but my cruise control won't accelerate any more. Has this happened to anybody before?

Cheers

What?

Do you mean when you have it on and you press the accelerator or when you press the reume Accerleration button?

you got a jap speedo convertor on it? I heard they can bodge up the cruise. Never even use the cruise on ours so wouldnt know if it was broke.

Hi Mark

Almost sure you have a broken cable there matey.Pull the centre soft section from the steering wheel to reveal the cable from the cruise buttons to a plug in connector, the usual place for breaking is where the cables are bent at the connector.

There are only 3 wires so its not to hard to check, however if all the cables look ok,the actual inner can be broken and the isulation look ok. Hope that helps

Hi,

thanks for the replies the answer to your questions are, I haven't got a jap converter on it, and it doesn't accelerate when I push the button on the steering wheel.

Cheers

Mark
