Topsecret bought you their famous supra with the 2.2 engine in and now they have done a zed!?

 

Totally stripped out racer with 500 bhp, even has acrylic windows to save weight!!

 

Bet its an interesting track car :D and i just love those defi guages :bow:

why the 200sx engine ? weight saving ?

yeh weight saving, more releable, easier to tune, cheaper to tune and created more room in the bay.

Humm very interesting but very strange way to get 500bhp from a Z. Top respect to them though for coming up with an original idea.

I love the idea of an all out racer version...I take it its only part finished as its still quite tatty inside?...oh...and is that a "DAZ CHALLENGE" speedo :D

well why did they take a very good engine out of the supra which are well known for being tuneable and put in a mr2 turbo engine in?

I think its more down to cooling and airflow rather than the size of engine and lets face it we all know how difficult it is to tune a zed engine!

yeh but all of them are pure drag cars and none of them really resemble a zed anymore including the engine.

 

I'm not saying its the way forward but its certainly an interesting idea.

I,d still rather zip up my engine rather than stick a 4 pot in and if traders didnt hear the words300zx and triple the price i would have 600+bhp

because zed engines are very hard to work on but the 2 ltr turbo engine thats in both the pulsar and 200sx is a cracking little engine and easy to work on and you can get bits and there cheaper and lots of tuners work on them so there cheaper?

You are right it would be cheaper but why should i have to compromise and fit a fookin 4 pot. If i lived in the states we wouldnt be talkin about the cost of doin a 6 up I HATE BEING RIPPED OFF IN THIS COUNTRY!!!! but i wont turn my car into another cover on sideways magazine with the headline "see v6,s are crap" "4 pots better" Why did the japs put v6 in the zed they might as well have called it 300sx remember this was top of the line M.D. car not the office monkey and i,ll keep it that way me thinks
