Has anyone got a lambo door conversion on their zed or seen one. Was just thinkin about it and how cool it would look. Any photos???

they're real hassle to fit on a calibra, loads of cutting and new box section etc

 

the face of the door had to be cut out and strenghtened as there was too much flex, the door had 2 or 3 seperate skins and they were useless to weld on to.

 

 

shame they didnt think about making a shoe plate then that wouldnt of needed to be done. the shoe plate is bolted with the cars existing holes then the shoe is welded to that. bingo all nice and strong, no cutting required, you can also run two small inch welds along each side of the shoe plate to stop flex but in 6mm steel i dont think it will. lol

 

i will post up a quick drawing later of the shoe and t-section for the wing, just so the others can see what im on about.
