Well, how do i start, nearly 3 months of planning, loads of stress and headaches all for one of the best weekends ive ever had.

I arrived at Peterborough at 1.45pm on Friday to meet the guys set up the marquee and to bring a few things like tent etc etc, Shunter turned up at about 2.15pm to help me out (cheers bud)i then had to shoot back home to collect my Z, meet my mate with the meat and freezer and pick up my mate Darren. I was hoping to get back to the showground for about 6, but i didnt get back till nearly 8pm and i was a bit gutted.

When i arrived back at JAE, there was about 20 Z's and over 30 people on our stand which instantly cheered me up, we then got the freezer and meat out of the van and said thanks to my mate. After we had set everything eklse up, the beer started to flow, which was much needed.

As the club BBQ didnt get there until late on the Friday night, we had to comprimise, but we found out that MickeyB and Pete2407 had brought BBQ's also, so we quickly nicked them and started to cook food, I'd like to thank Chris@GetGReddy for being the chef on Friday night, Job well done bud.

The night for me was excellent, annoying the Toyota lot, getting lashed, having good food and IMHO having a better night than the whole JAE experiance from 2004.

I eventually got into my tent at about 4am on the sat morning, to then find my blow up bed had a puntcure (no weight jokes please :p ) so as the comfort wasnt good, so i got up at about 5.30am to see Karl300zx (George Doors) polishing his Z and about 15 other members wandering around like drunk lost sheep :D. It pleased me to see that the majority of the mess from the BBQ, drinking session had been cleared up, well done to the guys that did that!

The saturday at the show was good, i counted 52 Z's at one point, lots of visiters to the club stand commented on how good the cars looked, sounded and about the stand itself. I saw lots of members playing photo wars, I have lots of new photoshop heads on my camera, just to let you all know!! LOL! High point of the day for me was when MAC1 quite literally launched barks into the pool, that was class chaps, Low point was about 1hr later when i got a bucket of ice cold water over my head from good old MAC!! I'll get you back, just wait ond see!!

Now, saturday night, and what a night it was. The club had put on a BBQ for all of its members and guests, the beer really started to flow at about 7pm and the BBQ was lit at 6.30pm, In all honesty i cant remember much of the early parts of the night apart from taking the piss outta Steve (Blackmagic) neons and w4nker lights :D

The party/piss-up was going great until a certain non member decided to act the hard man and blatenly take a lot of members drinks.....you know who you are and will not be welcome in the 300zx marquee next year!

After his little show, things really picked up very quickly again, there was a lot of winding up going on, like mobile hairdressing salons etc etc. Vinz popped over for a cut and blow dry to the Toyota stand where he apperantly drank 3 bottles of wine, meanwhile, Chris@GetGReddy, MickeyB, Maxsunny etc etc were hitting the beer very hard, eventually when Vinz came back he then wanted to duel anyone to a Vodka drinking contest, in which he lost in a tragic way! Vinz made up a new game, it must of been called chair pinball, as evertime he stumbled he'd break a chair, i believe he did 3 chairs in 1 strike! :D

That evening we had visiters from the Toyota owners Club, Toyota F1 posse, MR2 OC, Supra OC, Celica OC, SXOC, Subaru OC and others i cant remember. This was a absolutely top night and it carried on into the moring, we acually got closed down via the JAE security at 5.15am

Sunday at JAE, well, it rained, what can be said apart from that, we had a few more owners turn up, you really will have to excuse my ignorance, but as i had 45 mins sleep in my passenger seat of my Z, and the seat doesnt recline (yet another benefit of a SWB LOL) i cant really say i remember a lot about Sunday morning (its got nothing to do with the Alcohol at all ;) )

At 12 midday the Tug'o'war begun, in which we had 6 burly, strong and blatently overweight members fight for our honour against the Supra Mk4 OC, in which we lost 2-1 :( The firstbout was completely even until Viniboy slipped and hurt his back (hope its ok now bud) The 2nd bout, Vini was replaced by Autobeast, and we won that one well!! Unfortunately the 3rd bout went very easily to the Supra boys, they must of used all the power from there chest wigs of summit like that! :D

On behalf of the Toyota F1 boys, I just wanted to say a big thank you for your hospitality on Saturday night at JAE.

Despite a lengthy recovery period, our crew are still a little quiet. I found myself being the father fugure of the group, rounding up the strays at about 5.00am, one of which I had previously put to bed three times, but he insisted on shaking hands with each and every 300ZX member before finally passing out.

I eventually found the last member of the crew wandering around the TOC tent village singing "Your Beautiful" remarkably in tune!

Anyway, thank you for a great night and look forward to next year.

Thanks for your kind words!!

I hope all are fit and well soon!

I have always said Toyota drivers are lightweights!!  and there's the proof! :p

Rich

Of course we Toyota F1 boys are lightweights, 600kg........but 920hp ;)

What I really would like to do next year is bring a real car and rev it to its max 19,500rpm at 4 in the morning, forget the tented villages the whole county would hear it.

The engine ticks over at 7,500rpm :hyper:
