Take on a Merc?

Hehe. On my way home from London came across a big Merc SL55 AMG. Twin twin pipes, looked very nice. He tried to roar away, I kept up but in the end the road was too short. What is the BHP on one of these, what engine do they have anyone know?

I think I did well considering I have a boost leak and\or safety boost.....lol

i think they have around 500 bhp from a v8 but are a lot heavier than the zed in the S class ,still 0-60 in 4.8 limited to 155 in the CLK they are only 365 BHP but a lot lighter than the S class ..amazing tourque though 0-60 in 5.5 and limited 155 also ...........same performance as a porsche carrera excepty in the twisties ....well done mate ......not bad for 12 year old Nissan

And I didnt pay nearly as much as him for my car...sucker!!!!

they are very nice cars with bags of torque, 5.5l supercharged V8

the SL 65 AMG is even better - bi turbo V12 with over 700 ft/lb of torque!! dont mess with those unless youve got some serious mods - they are bonkers!!

(in a test a few years ago, although the diablo was quicker than the SL55 to 60, after about 80 mph the SL overtook it & got to 200mph quicker!!)
