A9 Dunblane to Aviemore

A question for the scots members really, I was wondering what this road is like, is it a fast road? loads of traffic slowing you down? what would you say your ave speed would be along this road if driving normally? I'm asking because i'll be taking the Z up there for christmas this year and i'm trying to work out how long it will take. Looks like i'll be leaving Portsmouth around 2am to get there mid afternoon (hopefully!)

    That'll be a cheap drive then!! I'm considering a similar one to Glasgow and then up into highlands for a cruise.

    I reckon about £100 each way and hopefully no breakdowns, I must remember to upgrade my AA cover just in case lol
