Opinions and the right to have an opinion is fundamental in our society, we live in a country that despite our often rubbish weather and self centered politicians with high taxes, is still envied by other countries, why is then when someone has a go at bettering themselves or trying to get on, supply a service etc. there is often an undercurrent of undeserved and venomous criticism whilst that person is still in the building stages of their business, it is true you have entered the public arena but time is needed to create a business, to get it right.

 

Of course the latest "victim" here is Dave C. ok, ok, yes I know there has been problems, and yes peeps wanted action, but for crying out loud!! did no one here learn anything about how I and Zedworld was dealt with ?????????

 

I have no affiliation with Dave C and no opinion on what occurred before the ban.... oops sorry leaving, but one thing I do know despite how or what went on he will be hurting right now and BIG TIME TOO!

 

Not many people really know what is involved with running your own business, there is a very inaccurate concept that you work less and earn more.......well that's B?llocks!............................... well at least in the early days.

 

Formation of any business is a combination of risk, commitment, time , money and much more, usually your social life, even your family relationships will be tested to the max!

 

Oh and don't be thinking about holidays and time off.........oh no not happening!

 

Another one to remember is your health! try working a 12 hour day and then another 6 hours on orders and paper work when you get home! fancy it? well try it 24/7 for a year and then and only then you may be getting the picture.

 

So when all is done, financially, socially, and your totally knackered you still cling onto that vision of the business you want to succeed and know if you just go a bit longer to reach the top of that very steep hill that will give you the all deserving ride down, you log on to the 300zx site and see some scrot who worked for just 7 hours in an air conditioned office and had an hour for lunch and then drove the 12 miles home had a shower and was sitting down watching the 6:00 pm news has posted some undeserved damming crap that WILL effect your business, time , money, your social life, your family relationships basically these people are playing with your LIFE!!! and for what ?....... their 10 minutes of fame :(

 

Well just consider next time what exactly you are doing and to the forum committee you have created this monster and you know you have.......as with children the parents are always blamed, well committee you are the parents of the "club" ...club that's a joke! when this forum was considering the change to club status I was approached and told it would make for more peace and harmony, it would make the forum become an icon in the 300zx world...yes it has done that all right but at what cost?

 

 

 

My opinion has remained unchanged since I was in the same position that Dave C is in now, and by sticking to my resolve and commitment to the business I wanted to continue, it has done just that continued and expanded. I hope that Dave C continues with his vision or all that has been done will have been in vain and that is not just a shame it bloody disgusting!

 

Supporters and happy past customers of Dave C will no doubt continue to support his efforts and I personally wish him well, he is now free to continue up and up.

i understand there has been some stamping on other peoples feet

but IMHO people like yourself and dave c should be a welcomed asset to the club

I don't know what has gone on, but I was at Dave C's yesterday........getting my Koyo.........cause another trader not far away couldn't be bothered to quote let alone supply(3 times this has happened with this trader). IMHO he's a fair bloke and was very helpful, he even offered to fit the Rad whilst I waited. I don't think this incident is going to stop him, if anything he sounded more determined and he didn't go into details I might add.....as he said "it's between him and the committee".

 

the more traders there is the more competative prices will be so the membership (subscribed or registered ) will benifit.

I agree here as well, as i have purchased items off Dave and all have arrived safe and sound also when i phone him if there is no reply he ALWAYS rings back. A very helpfull and reliable 300zx parts seller. Let him back.

I,ve only had a few dealings with Dave C and met him at a meet , i found him to be a top bloke , always helpfull and approachable, wot more can you ask for. :duffer: :duffer:

When I joined I caught the tail end of what happened with Jeff and Zedworld and with PHNW I know a little of the story, I also know that he wanted to subscribe and be a member still even if he couldnt trade and seems like there is a pattern emerging where if you fall out with the commitee then its goodbye, maybe we could hear both sides of the story as having dealt with Dave at PHNW all I can say is I think he should be on here.

that was a powerful post Jeff! I agree with every word. I have never seen the consequences of having your own business typed so honestly. Fair play to you...it's not all roses. Hard work, desire & determination keeps us going but if we are condemned by others (usually un qualified!) it can all come crashing down & destroy an individuals life. A bodyshop is only as good as its LAST job so the saying goes, but that shop could have done hundreds of top jobs, its out of order!!

Ive been on the phone to this fella at gone midnight :eek: for techy advice and hes always been only too happy to help.

 

I am not arguing with the committes decision :nono: but merely expressing my confidence in the service I received as traders like this are all to hard to find these days....Its a SHAME :rolleyes:

Here Here Daves a top bloke and a real enthusiast I spent hours on the phone with him when i first got my Z and he was only to keen to help.

I have bought parts of him in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Sounds like Dave doesnt even want to be an ordinary member of this club now, this is our loss and I am sure the breakdown in communication was for a reason but all I have read is how he is a top man, top products and top service and this is my opinion as well, no complaints about him and yet hes gone :confused: :confused:

We don't even know a tenth of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes; lies, bitching, backbiting, slagging off, troublemaking, shit-stirring, etc etc...

 

I've experienced it where certain people have been bitching about me to other members and trying to stir up trouble. Claiming that they've made complaints to a member of the committee about things I've said/done on here. I then find myself being advised I should be carefull what I do/say because people aren't happy about it blah blah. Only for me to ring that committee member to be told nobody has said anything to him and there is no problem to sort out. I do not doubt what the committee member said for a second because I know that if there was a problem I would have heard from him way before I needed to ring him.

 

This confirmed what I suspected and it was just certain people going out of their way to cause trouble and try and make me look bad. Well if people have a problem then my number has always been in my sig, why not take it up with me instead of spreading bullshit to others?? Beats me :rolleyes:

 

I've already made it pretty clear how a I feel about the committees non-competition policy for traders and have already been banned once so won't say anything else to risk a second, permanent ban.

I have to say i have never actually bought anything off of dave but got very close - i paid for a set of decat pipes, and my personal circumstances changed and could not go through with the order. Dave bent over backwards to get the money back to me, something alot of people would not have done. with that in mind i would gladly use phnw in the future.

 

it seems interesting to me that every post has praised dave?

When this thread was started reading how many points were over looked and true facts were not taken in to account because the only people that know them is we the Committee and DaveC, however to let you know some real facts then for what it’s worth here goes………….

 

 

First point is this and this is just for you Jeff.

Your post does not surprise me in the least about claiming DaveC is a latest Committee victim. What complete drivel you post at times!

 

This whole issue with DaveC is between the Committee and himself. PHNW traders fees were up for renewal in June, the committee refused his application as there were issues that happened during the time of PHNW trading on the board. If Dave wants to go public about these findings then that is up to him. However if he does not then it will remain confidential.

 

Dave had an email sent by the club Secretary and has the right to appeal and explain to us the questions that we have asked him, Dave then called me on the phone and said he won’t reply as he no longer wants to become a trader on the board. Now on a personal level I have never had a wrong word with DaveC so it has nothing to do with him falling out with the Committee infact as far as I am aware Dave has never had a wrong word with any one on the Committee.

 

We all have a right to an opinion however before you can do that you must know the true facts and not just half of a story. I am closing this thread now as this whole issue is a private matter between PHNW and us the Committee.
