Any one know where I can see a diagram for the folding mirrors for a jap spec.

I dont think any other market does the folding bit.

Want to convert my UK to these.

FFS! folding mirrors is a toy..

If you have it, great, if you dont, so what!!

Yes , I would normally agree but I am sick of getting out of the car every time to fold/unfold the passenger side - as the garage is a bit of a tight fit.

a really useful toy tbh, its poor show that the Uk ones dont have this, it was a seriously expensive car! FWIW I use these every time it goes in the garage, too wide to fit through the door with the mirrors out.

surely they only fold when you turn the ignition off. I have the same problem. i drive the car in at an angle and then straighten up afterwards. passenger side isnt a prob its drivers side to get past afterwards.

In this case I believe you garage is designed to store crap rather than a car :nono:

If thats the case I will wire it to stay live with ignition on.

No its not the case, you have a switch in the centre console that folds/unfolds them whenever you want to (even when driving!!)

In which case I like the fact that if i am not scraping my wing mirrors then the side of the car is safe.

Thanks for that Dave - the whole point of wanting to see a wiring diagram. I suppose I could work it out if I could be bothered.

Yeah you are right turboz - best stick to your manually folding UK ones.

Right Mark I've just had a quick look at mine.

You'll need the centre console switch from a JDM zed as well, this way you'll get the right switching method.

There are four wires going into the switch, two will be the output wires, along with a +12v in and a -12v in. The system works much the same way as the electric seats, it's on a polarity switching method. this means that, depending which way the switch is pressed, depends which way the current flows, and mirror goes (in/out) The two wires that go to the mirror, will be bi-directional. I don't know of any diagram that exists at the moment, but when you have the mirrors and switch, give me a PM and I'll check which is which for you.

Hope that is of help to you.

Hi Dave

Yeah that makes sense. I`ve got the mirrors and the switch.

Wasnt sure about the wiring in between though.

OK mate, wasn't expecting it quite so quickly ;) lol. If I get the time before my Zed goes off to the garage on Tuesday, I'll see what I can find out, if not, I should (hopefully  ) have her back on Saturday and will be at JAE on Sunday, so we could meet up and have a look then :D Otherwise I'll sort it at my earliest oppertunity.

Ok Dave - no problem.
