they are my favorite, west african gaboon. the east are abit duller and lack the horns. nice snakes good temprement. the last time I was offered these was £5 each for hatchlings

pretty snake when they get pi55ed off sounds like a tyre going down, the loadest hiss of all snakes, you can hear it from a good 150 yards

How toxic?

these are the heavy hitters of the snake world, there venom is a mixture of heamotoxin ( destroys muscle and bone, red platlets, you blood becomes so thin it leaks out of the walls of your veins), nerotoxin as found in the elapides cobra's and mambas, this stops your diaphram from moving basicly, and the last and most nasty cytotoxin ( this attacks the heart muscle, the muscle that holds the heart valves in place). in my opinon they are the most toxic off all. it would like being bitten by a puff adder, mamba, and cape cobra all at once. the survival rate from a full bite is zero. rhino vipers are smaller and milder in toxin
