Its cost me :-

£140 for the de-cats

£180 labour to fit

£70 in petrol there and back twice

There still not fitted properly and im gonna have to wait nearly another month to go back which is gonna cost me another £35 in juice....not to mention the complete waste of three saturdays....FFS :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal

Which means it aint fit for JAE....

I completely understand where your coming from alex. I am in the procces of spending hours of time and still shed loads more money putting things right that weren't wrong or were there and now arn't on my car after so call experts how made it better.

i think the problem is that these garages have too many jobs going on at once and know for a fact that if there waiting for bits for you car and working on another Z they'll borrow bits from yours to see if thats the problem with the other car. After a while and the longer your car is there. They forget which bits were yours and which bits weren't and if like my car it was very staight it ends up being cobbled back to gether like most of the other ratty Z's out their. Well let face it how did they get that ratty in the first place.

The real anoying bit though is that even time spent on your car returning bits that they have taken off it for the purpose of someone elses car. You know will be on your bill.

Still looking for a good Z garage. Think if its some thing I cannot do myself I try Ryan next time as everyone seems to be giving him the thumbs up at the mo.

There are only two problems with Ryan (and Ztech for that matter).

1. Just a bit too far from my home (but he's currently got mine anyway :) ).

2. He's knows what he's doing and so everyone wants to go there, this means he's backed up till Christmas. (a painful thing).

It seems from most peoples postings that trust in the mechanic is far more important than price charged.

Any chance of some discount then Ryan? :)

Alex, what exactly do you need? I have a Profec B sitting here, waiting to be installed. You are welcome to borrow whatever you need?

thanks james - i need to buy one - just hoping i dont have to buy the whole profect unit.

Regards,

alex

Alex, if you don't get any joy off greddy for a solenoid on it's own, give me a shout. Pretty sure it's a standard industrial one.

Thanks for confirming somehing i was told in Singapore John.

I was told it was a standerd pluming unit which could be bought from any plumbing shop.

sorry to hear of the probs alex , im just soooo glad that i took my car to ztech for ALL my work so far !! At least he is trustworthy and a top mechanic IMHO. And yes unfortunately he is in high demand but well worth the wait !!
