He has just told me his belt for the air con broke and hes running without it, says the bearings in the pulley caused it to seize snapping the belt for the air con. :smash:

This wont affect the power steering though. I ran mine for ages without an aircon belt.

How about speed sensor going dicky? My power steering very occasionaly does this and the needle on my speedo drops suddenly at very low speeds. They're possibly linked

Hello mate,

I reckon it could be a faulty speed sensor.

The faster the car is going the tighter the steering gets, the slower it goes the looser it will get. Mine did the same J-spec import. Cleaned loads of plugs then it seemed to go away, couldnt tell you which plug though.

Might have to give that a go. Do you clean the conector to the speed sensor, right under the car?

Cheers

Got to be worth a try, might save you having to buy a new one.
