I suspect it is because you are not a subscribed member (Like Auto trader ain't free!!) Quite right too..

I can understand it if people are selling cars on here all the time as a money maker and free advertising but im doing it as this is a site for 300ZX's and im selling mine. i am paying to put it in the Auto trader but just thought someone on here that has either had one before and after another or peoples friends on here might be after one.

 

For christ sake im only selling a car which is a 300ZX on a 300ZX website, i would pay £20 or whatever it is for subscription if i was a PC hermit that can be sat in front of their PC day and night but i have got a life, i can hardly get access to the net. I may come on here once a month to read posts and reply to a few so im not gonna pay the money when i hardly use it.

 

I used to be a member of so many car clubs and still am some of them and didn't have to pay a penny and get on well with everyone, nothing is free here soon as money is involved thats it...........will be charging commission on cars sold here next.

Remember its also in the interest of you people out there looking for a car to buy but its ruined by having to pay a fee.

 

Feel that on this second time around coming back to this site i have been shown no respect by certain people. i do nothing but praise this site when i meet other Z owners and get them to visit this site..........FOR WHAT...........nothing.

Rules are rules, members voted to have the club set up this way, if you dont like them then dont come back, it's simple as..................

 

Slagging the club off is really gonna get you places isnt it :rolleyes: hopefully you'll sell your 300 soon as people with an attitude like yours are not welcome TBH..........

There are many threads about this and as many replies.

The subs members agree in general so thats the way it is.

I have no problem with that and my Z is no more.

A few non subs members have spoilt it for the majority so fair enough I say.

I believe the members decided that they were sick of people signing up, advertising their car for sale and then disappearing when they were paying for the upkeep of the site.

 

One advantage of a site like this is that people can come on to look for a car to buy, knowing that it's been owned by a member, and they can check up to see what that member has posted about the car. If anyone can just come on and sell their car, it takes away some of the advantage for those who do pay - you know all of us PC hermits who sit in front of their PCs day and night and have no life... :rolleyes:

You joined the same time as me in 2003 and you have over 4000 posts, if i still had my first Z and had access to the net then i would prob be somewhere near there, i would have most certainly been a subscribed memember and wouldn't be having this argument now but its differnet situations for differnet people, i have had more important things to do in life than make sure i have access to the net to post on here, so thats it im being sh1t on cos dont have 5 million posts and here every night.

The fact is that the majority of subscribed members disagree with you. To sell your car, you have to be a subscribed member. End of story.

Try having the same arguement with Autotrader, eBay, Local papers etc

 

The club doesnt run itself mate. I'm sorry if you think we are being unfair, but thats the way it is, like it or not im afraid!

The club has had a lot of problems with unknown registered users, who have'nt put anything into the club, but advertise Cars/Items for sale on here, and run away with members money.

 

Its not a personal attack on yourself. There were votes, and it was decided that only subscribed members can sell. You have to pay elsewhere to advertise, and plenty of other forums follow much stricter rules.

Hello, ill just tag on the end here

 

Registered members are permitted to buy cars, we hope they do and then join the club, however people who turn up on our door and then try and sell cars have caused a problem in the past, if you are trying to sell a 5000 car then £20 fee is worth it, it is a rather captive audience unlike ebay and autotrader.

 

subscribed members keep this club running, and when 95% of them want things this way it pays to listen,

I dont consider myself, A PC Hermit, as you put so nicely, im an enthusiast, who likes to keep up to date with members projects and ideas, Hence, why I joined.

 

I also enjoy the banter between the other members.

Why should you pay when you hardley use it? Good question, why should I pay for a full years tax, or insurance? I'll remember that if I get stopped by the law!! Its quite simple, that £20 is the best spent £20 for information and tips for owners of these vehicles, you cant deny that, you must have saved yourself money somewhere with a tip you've read on here, I dont think anyone can say they hav'nt!

 

The fact that subscribed members only can post items for sell, was a choice made by the membership, not the committee, so your gripe is obviousley with all the members on this forum?

There are members on this forum who are subscribed, and dont own a 300zx, but are looking.

 

You feel that you have been shown no respect?? I personally feel that you havnt done yourself any favours with your rant!! And picking an arguement with one of our Official Traders, and other members is not very clever is it?
