I picked up my Z from Southampton - the culmination of months and months of searching for the right one.

I can vividly recall the feeling of elation as I finally got to see my Z in the flesh, so to speak. After having stayed up all the previous night as I was far too excited to sleep, and having endured 7 hours on a train to get there, the state of euphoria I experienced when I picked up the keys will forever be etched in my memories.

Not even being pulled over by the Police, literally as I exited the gates of Southampton Docks was going to spoil my day. The 300-odd mile journey back home was a pleasure - at last, my own Z32!

It's funny how quickly the year seems to have passed. My Z is still my pride n' joy, more so, in fact, than it was back then. Usually I get bored of cars after about 6 months...

The reason I put up this thread is to say that the best thing I've done since buying the Z is to pay to be a subscribed member here. Without the help offered here and the traders' discounts, I'd have unnecessarily spent shit-loads of cash and probably have a knackered car. More important than that though, I'd have several less friends than I do now.

So, a huge thanks to all the forum guys that've helped me out so far with help and advice. A further huge thanks to Mr. Greddy, Peter, Danny, Smithy, DaveC, Topless and Ryan for the savings! :)

Finally, a special thanks to Mac, Jonce and ChrisC for helping me to knack my clutch! Seriously though, thanks very much guys for the help you've given me so far - it's much appreciated!

Here's to the next year of Zeddery. Probably to include knackered turbos and an engine rebuild...

thanks for all your help over the last year

Had a zed for five years and still don't regret it, only wish i'd found this place earlier. Question ... what are the things attached to your air vents?

Cup holders! Can't say that I've ever used them for holding drinks though. Removed one of them and use the remaining one as a bandanna holder, to cover the stereo from prying eyes when she's parked up!

It does fit well, doesn't it? After loads of fiddling with the settings, I've just about got it sussed now. Just need to get the clutch replaced as anything over 12psi results in total loss of drive!

Thanks mate, although if you're wanting to meet guys, then you're going to have to rely on someone else for introductions! :smw: :D

Hi,

Fair play to you, and happy anniversary!

By the way, where did you get you're white speedo clocks from?

Thanks guys :)

Phil - don't know if I'm going to Thoresby yet. I'm hosting a LAN gaming event on the Saturday which probably won't finish until early Sunday morning, so the chances of me getting to Scotch Corner for 9am are somewhere between slim to none, but we'll see...

Chewie - the dial kit is one of the indiglo ones from Vijay's recent GB.
