Anybody ever tried painting or coating their plenum like in the attached picture? just wondered what would be use to paint it that would stay on???

The manifold in that pic is powder coated.

Richard, any chance you could stick up a pic of the polished plenum. I am half way through polishing one but just wanted to see what the finished product looks like compared to a chromed plenum.

Its at work mate, I am back there on Wednesday and will get a few pics then, just trying to work out a way of honing it.

Might be worth talking to Cos about chroming one, not sure if he has done one before but he seems to be the man for chroming bits and pieces.

Shouldnt be a problem finding someone to chrome it, but if it looks good enough polished i wont need to bother. Looks like its coming up quite well so far.

well i asked about this at a local firm but they seam to think it will flake of with the heat?? but they say they might be wrong ???

inlet doesnt get incredibly hot I wouldnt imagine, i'd say 100C tops, somebody with one of those s****y Ir thermometers would be able to give a good answer.

Seriously thinking about doing this, its nice to be different, and if it flakes, then I will go back to my origional plan and go for polished. :D :D
