you powering all speakers off the head unit or off separate amps??

If I was you to get the best possible sound I would invest in a decent set of component speakers up front (JL VR's are excellent but come in at around £300 a set).

Then a nice sub (again JL in my opinion make the best subs, think you can get a JL 12WO for around £200 including an enclosure).

Most important of all is a decent amp. A good 4 channel should be fine to run your whole system on. Look at Phoenix Gold, JL, MTX, Genesis or Rockford Fostgate. I would busget on about £400 for a good one. Don't take any notice of the max power they quote when you buy the amp. Look at RMS power instead. This is what really matters. Peak power means sweet FA.

Last of all don't skimp on wiring. Try and get hold of a good 4 guage power and earth cables and some nice thick speaker wire.

This might sound like a fair old bit of dosh but it will be well worth it when you give it a listen. If you take a look at a few american websites you will be suprised at how much you can save on RRP over here;)

Hope this helps,

Justin:)

Just stick a 15" sub in there and whack it up, works for me :D

I'm a basshead so SQL isn't as important as SPL for me. Good advice there though, good cables and a good quality amp are a must. :smw:

cool ill get an amp next then as im running the speakers from the head unit at the moment.

300 - 400w rms should be pleanty to wake your whole street up if connected to a nice 15" sun in a bandpass enclosure. If for some reason you find a spare bit of dosh have all of the panels / doors / boot / pillars / foot wells sound deadened.... costs a fortune but makes all the difference. ALso sounds cool when u got your system on full blast and its silent outside the car, u pull up, ope the door and an earthquake occurs, get out, close the door, and its silent again !

Bin it all, just wind the windows down and listen to the zorst :D

I Agree!!

Tunes off, windows down, foot down!!

Music to my ears!!! :D
