At the time I was buying - a 200sx or Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo. Now if I was to get rid, a Volvo 850 t5r or Rover Mini cooper. Strange.

nearly bought an fto, a merc 560 sec lorinser, or a isuzu trooper bighorn before i found the zed. would have probably ended up with the merc.

 

bighorn still had £10'000 finance on it that the seller didnt tell me about!

merc was cream with cream and green leather interior! ewwwww! but a respray, new leather and hooge chromes would have been on the cards.

I was considering a mistsu evo 6 or 7. before i got my ZED. so one of them. but it aint an easy quetion to answer because I have been a fan of the ZED for many-a-year now.

I was looking at a lot of different cars before settling on the Zed.

I love the look and performance of the MR2, but there is only enough storage space in them for one or two paperclips!

 

The car I would have almost certainly have ended up with was a Mercedes 300CE (pillarless coupe) with full leather trim.

I have been considering purchasing a Nissan 100NX for my son? He is still only 18 tho' and insurance is high high high? but I think as an entry sports coupe this will be nice. whats your opinion folks?

Can get alot more in the boot, storage boxes behind the drivers seat and boot up front on my MR than I could EVER get in the Z! ;) At least 2 x Tesco carrier bags full of bog rolls. :rofl:

You can even fit a fair bit in the Mk3 - easily enough clothes for a week away for two, maybe even a fortnight away for two.. Well, unless t'other party is female *ducks* ;)

Well aside from the fact that it's not really a 'sports' coupe ;)

 

It's just a Nissan Sunny with a different bodyshell - so generally fairly reliable, fairly uninspiring to drive, just.. well a 'normal' Nissan of the era really :) They're not offensive..

 

Go for a later EFI model if you can..

I would have saved for another year and bought an NSX. Love the Rx7 though, would be 2nd choice after an NSX (if the Z32 didn't exist!)

Specced up S14A or S15 even.

 

Or a twin turbo Supra.
