the blitz is real easy to use and is one of the easiest to fit and has some nice features that dont take 2days to figure out how it works, with a bit of help had mine fitted in 2hours

my apexi AVCR .. bloody hell ... talk about a learning curve .. thought I would have to go to college or summat .. lol

You filthy git LMAO if only people knew :wack: :D

OK, I'm a bit thick about these things so can someone please explain to me the benefits of a boost controller over boost jets? When I bought my car it already had boost jets and is running 16psi.

Consider the following, though:

1) I am the only person who drives my car, so there is no need to be able to turn down the amount of boost for an inexperienced driver to have a go.

2) I can control fuel economy/safety, somewhat, via judicious use of my right foot.

3) My car has been modded enough to handle 16psi quite happily.

So, I'd genuinely like to know what I could gain from adding a boost controller as everyone seems to rave about them.

Please note: this is not meant to sound sarcastic - if there are some significant benefits to having one that I don't know about then I'll seriously consider getting one.

with a boost controller you can dial in whatever boost you like (up to the limit of the tubbies). boost jets will give you a fixed limit, depending upon the size of the jets in place.

if you, like me, have jets then the only drawbacks you have are that you need to keep an eye on the level of boost youre running while caning it (in case of a spike). also you can only have a fixed max level of boost (as opposed to dialling in one or more maxes - switchable depending on what controller youve got)

the advantages of jets is a) somewhat cheaper than a controller (emphasis on the 'somewhat') and b) safety boost is not over-ridden

:hyper: Im another Boost Jet junkie :hyper:

I have an AVC-R and consider it essential now but i used to love the boost spikes on the jets@17-19psi:nono:

I only got this as a safety device to stop me wrecking the engine and I just leave it on 16psi...no other fancy set-ups for different conditions as like mac300zx says :-

"I can control fuel economy/safety, somewhat, via judicious use of my right foot"

hmmm ... boost spikes for me please ..LMFAO ... shhh you ain't seen me right .. shhhh

apexi AVCR is good ... bit of a bitch to set up though

Thats nice to know............getting AVCR some time next week!

dave there is a way of wireing in to the controller with an led light so everytime the engine goes in to safety boost the led will light up,also someone posted up on how to fit a wire to solenoid to keep safetyboost with your controller im going to do mine next week

never head that one mentioned before Greg. would be bl00dy useful tho to be able to see straight away when youre in S.B. You could flog the wiring diagrams for thousands! :D Will it work on all controllers or only certain ones?
