I have been a member of this forum for just over a month. I have had my up's and down's but to be really honest I enjoy my daily visits here. I seem to be making a few mates along the way too.

The question I want to ask is why are some of you guys, (after a couple of years with some of you) still only registered and not subscribed?

It makes sense surely to give your support and pay up. It cant be easy to run a site of this calibre? I wasn't even here for a day and I paid my dues.....

If by any means I have got the whole thing wrong or something I appologise?

Thats it folks....................

I always offer advice if I can, I do not wish to take advantage of any special subscribed member offers (yet).

I just like to have a place to talk Z - don't see a need to pay for that.

I have met a few nice people attending a couple of meets, shown you all how to drive your Zed's on the track in the wet (but not the snow :headvswal ).

I do not feel I have taken advantage of the paid up members and I believe they would have mentioned it if I was taking the pi$$.

This is not an exclusive owners club, it's a varied bunch of people who have similar tastes in cars - this place is friendly.

2p in the pot!

I see your point but mine (as I mentioned) is that this site is here regardless if you paid or not. Someone somewhere has to do all the hard work to keep it going. I showed my appreciation of that by parting (proudly) with £20. And so should you. You use the facilities open to you and reep the benifits from meeting people you may or may not of ever met. Thats got to be worth £20.

As for the fact that this isn't an exclusive members club??? What is it then? I feel very exclusive as it happens. Part of an elite? But more than anything mate whats £20? half a boring night down the pub? a short trip in your ZED? No more than that its an exclusive membership to an exclusive members club.

Stop trying to justify not paying and just put your money where your mouth is.

No offence meant BTW.

No offence taken or meant, I'm just offering up a different (cheaper!) point of view.

If you want to make it a paid members only site then you should see about setting that up.

Untill you do you will have people who don't want a £20 sticker putting their thoughts in here. :nelson:

Of course as soon as I want a discounted bit from one of the traders then I will be reaching into the wallet, as the savings offered on some bits are more than the membership fee.

No other car forums I have seen have asked for a membership fee.
