I'd love to work for myself.

I'd love to have work involved with Japanese performance cars.

Has anyone else thought about setting up a business like this?

Any ideas what would be feasible - importing cars, selling parts, anything?

I'm no expert with any aspect of Japnese cars to be honest.

Or is it a crazy dream and would rob me of the hobby I love / go tits up and bankrupt me?

Chris - a chat at JAE would be great. I'm not about to do anything straight away but it's a dream.

Chunk - it's worth a thought - bikes are great but Japanese cars are better!

do lots of reserch !!!

i run my own company and its hard work when i started i wished i looked into things a bit better!

iam starting to enjoy it now with lots of time off and more cash to spend on my car

iam not in the car trade but would like to 1 day the area where i live we only have halfords for car parts  theres a killing to be made round here.

Funnily enough I struck up a really good relationship with the Japanese chap based in Saitama who sold me my V8 engine. He wanted to go in with me to import cars and sell them in the UK. I don't have the capital to take it further at the moment but hey, never say never!
