Hi all, just wondered if anyone out there has changed a set of front pads on a Vauxhall Vectra, I have to do a set for a mate tomorrow and wondered if its an easy job, a brief outline of whats involved would be good so I can go in there and look like the master mechanic that I aint

I did mine about 6 months ago, an easy job as I remember - no more than 15 minutes a side. Can't recollect if you take the caliper off completely (for access to rear pad) or just undo one bolt and swing it away from the disk though...

HTH

IIRC you dont even have to loosen the caliper, real easy job, but it was 5 years ago when i did some.

dead easy

i take it they are ATE calipers?

if so then un bolt the front ones from the hub and side them off the disc, replace the pads on the calipers and refit the caliper

dead simple

bit of a vauxhall nut, owned 2 novas and did most things to them including fitting 2.0 16v brakes lol

Had a look at these quickly today but didnt have time to do them, looks like a 7mm allen key is needed, undo the two bolts then slide them off like you said, shame I dont have a 7mm allen key. :D :D
