I have searched the threads and they all seem to have the problem on a cold start...

But.....

The last couple of days ive noticed that in the hotter weather I have an awfull petrol smell.

Is made worse by running my aircon and reving(using throttle)

Its makin me head ring :headvswal and feels like im swimming in amel nitrate

It has never reared its head before but today was unbearable.

I have checked and tightned the fuel lines (including under the throttle cover) and they all seem fine.

I have reved it and have found no leaks.

I know most will say a fuel kit from Smithy...may have to do this but....my lines look very good condition and have heard of peeps with these kits and still get a petrol smell...so i wanna make sure its the lines before splashing out and finding its something completely different

Answers on a postcard :smash:

Thanks in advance

i'm getting strong petrol fumes today too only when hot

Try bypassing your PRVR system this alters the fuel pressure and has been known to go wrong, examine the Fuel Pressure regulator, the seams of this can leak, and try putting some talc on the areas you suspect are leaking it will stick to the petrol and leave a residue!

I also had a problem where i could smell fuel upon starting the car and switching the heater on. I found a leak in one of the engine fuel lines (near top left injector) and i found it by smelling it like a dog when i started the car, it was dripping!! God knows what woulda happened if the engine got too hot  I was amased that it was only held by one tiny screw which needed tightening, problem solved, that remminds me, shouyld check on it :slap:
