Okay you PC gurus, i got this bug on me PC and it's driving me nuts

My internet browser keeps coming up clicksearchclick.com and i remove it, but it keeps coming back ! when am on forums and i try to open pages, it goes to it's search engine page with results of the word that i just clicked on, rather than the page on the forum, hence i can't post or open pages in certain areas of the forum. Now before someone shouts, go here and download this, i've tried that and soon as i hit the download button, hey presto, i get the search engine for clicksearchclick and it gives me a 100 results on the word download.

any ideas anyone ??

many thanks to anyone who can help before i slit me wrists

cheers

go into control panel, add or remove programes, and you should see that click thing, remove it mate...should be ok then

also, delete all your cookies/temp internet files in your TIF folder. But remember all your site passwords first haha

I'm not a guru but have had similar problems. Try starting your pc in safe mode, then running all your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs in there. This stops the culprit from sitting in the memory and replicating itself whenever you try and delete it.

You could also try googling the address you keep being forwarded to, you will probably find several forums that list how to remove the problem...

do you know how to run config ?

in start up, it will be there, and you can deselect it mate.

start, run...type config, select startup.

Isn't it msconfig ?

only if you want it to work...doh..

sorry mate, andyp is right, ill hide back in me corner now

Just had a quick look on google about this. Seems as though its a fairly new problem, some people are getting rid of it with Microsofts Anti-spyware software, but many are having to use CWShredder and other tools to remove. Suggest you have a read of some of the threads on these forums as they may help...until one of our PC boffins reads this.

I had the same problem every time i started it took me to a stupid home page that i didnt want to view. If you have XP then restore it to a date before it happened and then run spybot or similar. most can be got for free from download.com

yep, dont use IE and you dont get these problems, also dont look at those dodgy porno's either ;)
