I work within the railway industry as a Signal and telecoms technician Commonly know as the S&T.

I'm an accountant by profession but since leaving the practice some time ago I am now in charge of finance for the UK's number one supplier/installer of disabled access platform lifts.

I'm another IT bod: software engineer. Do a lot of stuff with .NET (C# rather than VB) and SQL Server. Have a bit of a love/hate relationship with it, but certainly can't complain because the major costs of my recent holiday in the States were paid for by my company, because I had to go to a couple of conferences whilst I was out there. There is something very satisfying about it, and if I didn't find it to be so I probably wouldn't do it.

Primary school teacher - five year old kids. Quite unique on here I would think: maybe not a traditionally 'manly' job but someone's got to do it, and if you have kids it's the same as you do to look after them. Has anyone got a less macho job than that? Oh, yes, and thirteen weeks holiday a year. I couldn't do without that. :)

 

I work with women all day long. Blessing or curse? Definately curse, what am I saying.

I am a self managed Sales Exec for a well known courier who drive piller box red lorries lol

 

Work from home set my own hours, dont have a boss and the money is very good :)

 

Oh and the job is a piece of pi55 lol

Oh to be my own boss and not have anyone tell me what to do.....it would be heaven!!

I run my own consultancy small, but its mine :)

We offer consultancy on Signalling projects (spent 15 yrs going from assistant tech to project engineer), Health and safety, Quality ( ISO 9001:2000), construction and demolition

 

We also provide NVQ's, do workplace assessments, internal verifying, act as mentor licensee in pubs and clubs, licensed lead auditor, site supervision, licenced doorman, qualified electrician (though 15th edition), web design, and a few other bits and pieces

i work as a maintenance and operation technician at dinorwig powerstation, the one that is built underground like a big prison LOL!!

IT stuff. Either networking or security, currently security. Working for one of those big pharma companies ...

Me too - I'm a Flight Simulator Engineer currently working on the WAH64D Apache Helicopter Flight Simulator. It's like playing on a giant arcade machine - only much, much better :D :D
