bought myself a bike last night a Kawasaki zxr 400 ninja. got my girlfriends dad to ride it back. so I drove us there in the Z.

 

on the way back down the A5 theres an empty road for about 2 miles perfect straight.

 

anyway he cogged the bike down and went for it.

 

I floored it and he pissed on me within about two-three seconds he was a distant speck.

 

but then when we got up to about 90-100 mph I was closing the gap at a slow rate :duffer:

 

what a fecking bike considering :bow:

 

also I never realised 400's sounded so good. :D

 

seeing as its my first bike on a full licence its costing 200 quid to insure simply becaue Im now 22 I have no NCB. if Id tried to insure it 2 years ago it would have been coming on a grand !

Just be careful out there mate, to many idiot drivers who don't take a bike into consideration :)

An import ZXR400 (think it was a H not a J) dynoed at 46bhp and does a standing quarter in 13.8 (with a greased psycho midget on board).

 

They rev high (?14,000rpm) and do sound great! Top little bikes.

had a zxr750 h1 for my first bike last year , awesom bit of kit at a reasonable price , just brought a 600 ninja j1 model , you should have some good fun fella

great little hooligan of a bike ........learn to use the gearbox more in the way it should be ridden ( hard ) and it will stuff huge bikes into the twisties under brakes . my missus had one and regularily outbraked m ZXR600 ninja going into corners ....sounded brilliant with the big single phase 1 race system on it .....and those fake air ducts and pipes look the nutz

 

put some bridgestones on it and have someserious fun

 

keep it rubber side down mate
