About time we had another meet down here.

 

Had one a few months back, weather was not good and only three turned up!

 

Well, weather still awful, but should be improving soon???!!

 

seen a lot more zeds around recently so hope for a better turn out.

 

So even if not based down here , nice for a W/E hol.?

 

Anybody interested, jiust post up and lets arrange something.

Count me in Ray - there is no way it can blow like a ******* and throw shit all over my car again. I reckon Perranport must have had an influx of sewage that day. Not sure how many you'll get this time (although 3 was pretty piss poor anyway) as I think the white Z belonging to the guy from St Austell (forgot his name) has now been sold. Also saw the red Z (guy who didn't turn up from Penzance) in the West Briton recently. I do know that there is a guy in the Camborne Comet (just down from halfords) that has a red one and I have also seen a pearl white one in Truro. A back ended red one is also in Cambellac motors at St Austell.

 

On another note, decided as my car had now racked up 60,000 miles thought I had better get the cam belt changed. Nissan garage quoted me £750 - £1050 if the water pump needed changing as well. Checked out several of the local garages and they wouldn't touch it, but my son (who is 22 and a trainee mechanic) reckoned he could do it. Took it to him this morning, changed the timing belt, water pump and other bits and bobs for £230 all in. Chuffed to bits. Took him about 6 hours but said it was a lot easier than doing a Rover 825! She's now running like a dream and looking at the cam belt it was just as well I had it changed.

Seen the white one around, also a silver one in Camborne.

 

Cambelt job sounds good, your son could do a nice side line on Zeds then, need my lifters diong. ( £ 500 at Zetech ). Had my Cambelt etc. done about a year ago, took it up to Zed world, cost £320.

 

Lets hope we get abit more interest this time.

Dont believe we have to go to Bristol for a meet?

I have relatives in the Redruth area, and travel down that way every couple of months. I dont currently have any set plans to visit there at the minute, but If you guys want to put forward some weekend dates, I'll see what I can do.

 

Im hoping to setup a more southerly meet withing the next few months. Probably in Devon, as its a good midway point. Possibly an all day event, something to make the travel worthwhile for everyone. Will keep you updated, but let me know if you have any ideas.

Ok. Dave, will keep that in mind, but would like a meet sooner rather than later.

There are loads of Zeds down here, but probably not aware of us on the forum.

I have even stuck notes on the cars!

id be happy to go that far but....i got 98 miles out of my last tank of optimax :hurl: did kind get my foot stuck in the downwards position though :hyper:

Spotted a Grey Z today at the petrol station opposite ATS Tyres in Redruth/Camborne. Informed him that you were attempting drum up some interest and gave him this website. His mate also owns a Z - the one in the Camborne Halfords Car Park so maybe we will get a bit more interest idc.

Sorry mate, didn't read the thread otherwise I would have gone!!! Yeah, July 3rd sounds good if ok wih everyone else and they can make it but don't mind where it's held.. If all else fails, Twilight Zone or PV carpark then in the pub for a quick drink! :duffer: have to be coke if we're all driving!

In Redruth!! PenVenton Hotel Car Park or there is one leading up to the Twilight Zone night club outside the Spice of Life pub, near the old Redruth Brewery... Gonna be working the next few wk-ends unfortunatly..

Hi guys, just joined the site after deciding to get my Zed rebuilt. I'm from Hayle, although I'm currently in Plymouth working and living in Gloucester at weekends. Would be interested in meeting up sometime once the cars back on the road. Dave

Ok, if there is anyone about this weekend I'll be down with the missus to see the family so can probably meet for a coffee or whatever. Think we're having a meal saturday arvo/evening but will be cruising about (look out for a red blur! :nono: )
