Thought id post this up as I just used it to fix mine.

Its been taking longer and longer to read discs for a few months now but eventually wouldnt read anything tonight...AARRggghh...no tt superbikes or GT4.

They cover a couple of different versions of the Ps2...(not the slimline one)

It just involves opening it up ( :smash: making warrenty void:smash: ) cleaning it and re-adjusting the lazer eye to read the discs again :dance:

 

Job done ;)

How'd it go?

Mine reads the discs really quick now and loads first time everytime :dance:

When you set the angle of the eye i found I had to experiment around with the angle so as it reads all the types of discs...Gold/Silver/Blue and DVD,s and even Ps1 games if you like.

 

Hope it works as well for you as it did for me :)

yep it worked on one of me ps2 perfectly but the other is stuffed

 

Does yours make a clicking noise???

Ive still got to fit mine...needs doing though...clicks every now and then...

apparently its the laser sliding off of the arm that guides it.
