Ever since the new Messenger 7 came out. I have had serious problems logging on. It takes upto a dozen attempts to actually get on line. Most of the time I get the message saying how many emails I got popping up, and I believe when that happens, people who's list I am on, get the message saying I am logged on but the Messenger screen still shows me logging on. ALso if people try to start a conversation with me while it is doing this I get an error saying that I could not start a conversation with that person.

 

 

It will take several attempts to actually get on, and sometimes it never does get on. The betas work fine, as does version 6 and 4.

 

Is any one else having simalar trouble?

ive not really had a logging in problem, i have however had that conversation thingy,

and msn seems to crash every 2hours without fail,(could be due to mess patch?)

These problems are only at work however (dont tell the boss) and its fine at home, are you directly connected or thru a network?

Im connected straight thorugh broadband

The only probs i have had with it is sending and receiving files.

Ive had the starting conversation problem and sometimes mid conversation I would get that the message could not be sent to the recipients. I therefore binned MSN 7 for the time being.

I was having some probs until Mujina sent me a patch :bow: I will try and find it;)

I have had a few probs with the whole Hotmail system and messenger's system down messages appearing, but other than that Messenger 7.0 is O.K.

The Beta version worked perfectly but as soon as I put the final release on it's a nightmare.

Can't use it at all on my laptop even after removing and reinstalling.

Version 6 is fine.

 

I log in and get something like "Unable to start conversation with X" even though I haven't spoken to them for weeks and hadn't even got logged in!
