I was pootling to work this morning, keeping it nice and gentle like i do when the engine's cold, when i see a white sierra rapidly closing in on me. come up to a roundabout and take a right to go up the hill. me in the left-hand lane and sierra moved over to the outside lane. me gets ready about to drop a gear when the lights ahead of us change to RED. BWUHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! sierra suddenly slows down and lags behind. i pull up to lights, sierra kind of sittingly timidly at my o/s rear.

me gazing out of window not noticing lights changed to green :slap: and sierra (XR 4x4 BTW  ) has pulled off but is going far too slow - waiting for me to catch up or dropping out?

whatever i just put my foot down and storm past him. ok thats the good bit. now i look in my mirror and see a porsche right behind me. couldnt really tell but looked like a basic model so i thought id keep my foot down and have a play. all the way up the hill its with me - perhaps dropping back a smidgen but pretty much with me all the way. reach the top of the hill and my turn into work (so fun over) - the three of us pull up side by side at the reds. Watch the porky go and its only a boxter?!?! i should have beaten it quite comfortably! not even an S!

i know my cats are knackered but my car's running pretty well. been pissing me off all day!

porsche must have had a 200 shot of NOS installed what do you think? ;)

how was YOUR day?
