Well tories were not gonna get in after the mess they made of the country last time. Pity labour got in again though.

Doesn't surprise me! Blair knew he was in for another term which is why he announced that he'd back down after this innings. Who gives a f\/ck anyway?

Spain? Yeah count me and Macca in...we BOTH need a holiday! LOL  Window seat thankyou please! ;) Oh and the whole of the centre Isle for my big boy chummly warner...oh and lots of dry roasted peanuts and bacardi and cokes in plastic tumblers...stewardess!!! :D

As bad as Labour are, it's a shame there are no decent alternatives to vote for :headvswal

But the way politics work when you dont agree with the current goverment, you vote for some one else, this then changes the government or changes the government's policies and then you vote for them again, when you agree what they are for.

Unfortunetaly New Labour will always have a strong place in the government because millions of thick northerners will alway vote for them no matter what. Even if they dont know a thing about politics and that New Labour have taken all their money, pension and made the health service so bad its dangerous, they will always vote New Labour because they where brought up that Labour is the way to go and every one else are not bothered about the "Working Class"

"New Labour" has more differences than simaliarites to "Labour". but these people still vote for them because they thing its the same

For example I know some one from Liverpool and I was having a discussion about politics. This person hated they way the petrol price was going through the roof, (yes the war has caused it to go up, but every single budget except 1 petrol has gone up 2p, she said the hostpitals where a state, she hated the way she had to pay to send her two daughters to University, she hated the way her possible pension has gone down, she hated the way council tax has shot through the roof, she hated the way national insurace went up to pay for hospitals and yet they are getting worse, she hates the way she cant get a dentist, etc, etc, etc.

She knows that all of the problems are caused by Labour and in her own words "Hates Labour", but when asking who she would vote for, she said Labour. Reason? She always has done and always will do.

This country, especially the north, are full of people like that.

What chance do we have?

...because millions of thick northerners will always vote for them no matter what.

LMFAO

Attention all people living north of Watford Gap...you are a bunch of thick f\/ckers! According to Stu. ;)

Yeah we are ;)

Jeez Stu, that's the truest thing I've heard in years. Well said mate.

Prepare for a 'northern' backlash though.

Just remind them, the truth often hurts!!

Didn't think you had it in you TBH ;) :wack:

So much blue, so little red, and yet they still won .......

Tony bliar has been hurt by this though, he still has a significant majority but he also has a rebelling back bench who will get worse with news of these results. things will certainly be interesting over the next few months

And exactly why did so many vote tory? dont they remember the recession years under tories, the tories turning all public transport into private transport etc etc.

Labour are bad but their closest rivals are CONservative who are even worse. People go on about the war, but i cant remember the Argies murdering their own people, that war was over a shitty island FFS.

No offence, but it may have been a shitty island but it is was our shitty island.

No it wasn't, it was about standing up to a hostile land takeover, the location was irrelevant it was about standing up and saying that you can't **** with Britain. If we had let the Falklands slip away then it would have shown weakness, its a totally different scenario to Iraq and the lies surrounding Iraq

For example I know some one from Liverpool and I was having a discussion about politics. This person hated they way the petrol price was going through the roof, (yes the war has caused it to go up,

If the war has caused the prices of fuel to go up,then why is it only us in the UK that get shafted on fuel prices?

No one in Europe pays as much as us,only one man to blame for this and thats Mr Tosspot Blair :mac1:

Us fuel prices are also increasing at the moment due to the war, our taxes are however the main reason why our fuel is priced so high, I would like to sit down one day and see how much tax I pay in a month (inc vat, fuel tax ect) but i think I would weep

Go back further than Maggie,we were in a far bigger mess when ****witt labour were in :(

Argentina was skint so they wanted the Falklands for oil...simple as! ;) Nothing to do with "our Islands...oh no they're not they're our Islands!" etc.

LOL! like it would be any different under any other government

pay a bit less on one tax, & a bit more on another!!

wars would still be fought & the PM would get a slating for one reason or another!!

Fook knows why they could have not stuck with making tins of corned beef,Oil was about the same value back then

I agree with sticking up with hostile take over stuff, iff the argies asked for the island we probally would have just gave it to them, like we have done with most of the empire lol
