I would say getting the box on and off of the Z is the hardest job once thats removed the engine is a piece of piss.

any things easy if you have the right tools!!!

I have learnt most from my dad who has over 30 years in the game, the body work and fabrication of bling I have learnt from my work

all the problems that hold me up I come to you guys to help me along ;)

I'll try owt!-as if ya' didn't know................ :D

Yeah so iv,e heard :nelson: :slap:

Give me a workshop and if I am prepared to have her off the road for 6 months then I'd go for it (engine out that is).

My claim to fame- Bedford CF gearbox swap, Mk4 Cortina back axle swap and serviced many a skanky old mota.

Loads of Japanese pipes wiring etc... a totally differnet story

lol...just what I was thinking.

A difficult one to answer....in theory everyone (well nearly) is capable of doing any of the above(except the matches one perhaps;))...with the right tools...its more about what you'll Feck up while doing it, and wether you willing to attempt such things in the first place.

Previously with other cars, the most I would do was basic service stuff, but with the zed as a 2nd car and not having to worry about time off road, Im willing to have a go at more complex and daunting tasks.

or just get greg to do it

I have been mechanic for ten years and got qualifications up to HNC level so I will have ago at most things without worrying too much. plus i got a £20,000 tool kit and my own workshop.

see you sunday bud

Im a timeserved fitter, (not done it for 20 yrs! I suddenly feel old!!) used to make bombs for a living! Can and have taken engines out, re built, and put back, I used to have a beetle and i built a 2.3Ltr engine for it, took the engine out at least once a month tinkered with it and put it back, all on the street outside my mums. But im totaly useless when it comes to auto electrics and thats why the zed scares the sh1t out of me!!

hmmm, im alright on basic things as long as i have instructions, replaced water pump earlier this month with a lot of help from here, done brake discs and bling etc, but would have to think about what i was doing if it was much more complicated

hats off to the engine removers!

I have very good mechanical comprehension. Used to be very keen but don't have the time to anymore. Got an excellent tool collection tho'. Shame really they dont get used. Maybe I will need them now I own a ZED???

i'm abit like pjinhouse just with out the expensive tool box, and with out the work shop. i have worked to HNC lvl also, worked for BMW as a tech for 4 years and am now a highteq for nissan. have been working for nissan for nearly 3 years. i did well did all my highteq training in a matter of 3 months. my head was screwed up afterwards lol

time served motor vehicle technician, 20 years and counting FFS

Yep me to Time served in the old days when that meant 5 years at tech. Just repiped my whole TT as I didn't fancy dropping the suspention. So recon I'm still up for anything with oil on it.

Craig

I can definitely do oil and filters and brakes but I'm sure with the room and the right kit I'd have a go at something a little more taxing! I'm not saying it would work though!

i can remove a z engine now on my own almost,am in the process of rebuilding and refiiting :D about 10 of them at the moment
