I found this next to my ECU

I opened my ECU yesterday to check if there is an aftermarket chip and I have noticed that next to my ECU (at the left side) there is another smaller box. I believe all 300ZX do have this box. What really concerns me is that there is a connector that goes to that smaller box but is unplugged.

Is that the way it should be?

What that box is for? Should I put it back to its place?

Not sure which one you mean. A picture would help. One of these ?

Not the one at the very front of course - that's the traction control.

Could it be the cruise control unit? Does your cruise control work?

I think is the one with the S. But is slightly different. Mine is a 1990 TT Manual.

Does it have cruise control?
