Hello peeps,

just wondering if anyone can give me some advice as I am hoping tomorrow to take my tailgate off and replace with another with the high spoiler on to save me on having my old spoiler removed and filled and painted. So is removing this a big job like everything else or should it be a question of a few bolts etc.

Thanks all

It's not a bad job at all, just the 4 bolts on the top hinges, the weather sealent does make it a bit tight to get off, it is a 2 man job. Especially when remove the tailgate rams, the tailgate suddenly becomes 4 times heavier when they are removed!! As for the wiring inside, when you take the panels off, you'll see the plugs, so its a case off unplugging the top part of the loom only, as opposed to having to remove, then rethread the loom. Good luck.

Thanks mate thats what I wanted to hear :) Just had a look how do you get to the bolts?? do you have to remove the struts first so it opens wider as seems very tight to get a tool in there??

Thanks again.

You'll need to get the head lining to drop slightley, then you can get in there with a spanner, cant remember exactley, but there is a few screws and clips holding it up.
