....rare as you like and future classic, in superb condition (for 10 year old car) with full history...always wanted one...perhaps the Z'ds untimely death was a blessing in disguise?

I'm sure you can fairly easily get the T5 up to 300BHP (The Police Volvos are around the 300 mark). I was surprised when someone told me they aren't RWD though.

I read that with just a chip and 98 octane (optimax) you can do 320 top...

Flipping mental car for a volvo. Well pleased but still want another Z, reckon I will wait a while but this was too good to miss.

Will go to the pod in it on a Z day to see how they compare....will be funny as fook eh...grandad car lane 1, Z lane 2

You lot may laugh at ovlovs, but I know of a 760 that cost 400.00 to buy and for less than 400.00 again, it would equal more than a slightly modded Z.

Driving it is the best thing since sliced bread, no matter what race you get into in it, it's very entertaining, end up comming home in stitches :D

 

Had a run in with a rex not so long ago around town, he could not loose this big greyish brown square in his rear window! the handling is amazing, very well balanced car, and drifts like a trooper :D

 

Anyway, this was only a 2.3 we modded, the T5 is capable of much more, true about the T5 being FWD tho, the only down side. Still a lovely car no matter :duffer:

HAd an s70 until end of last year, even without the turbo, removing the cats and chipping it makes a big difference

But a quick one, 240 bhp standard and weight is loads less than a Z (which as I know is a truly outstanding car)

So power/weight ratio is better on a T5???

I heard that the new S70 is gonna be 300BHP standard :eek:. I remember thinking in 1990 that nothing "run of the mill" would get near the power of the Z, now here we are with family estate cars matching the Z's power :(

Ive always had a thing about volvos, they've just got presence and character or something..specially the older ones.

 

I had a V40 few years ago in between my z's . I bought to give the wife and kids more room.

 

the kids demanded i get my Z back immediately , but the wife loved it...........needless to say i followed the kids advice!!!!!

Driving the T5-r tonight did not feel the surge of power that the Z has but definately noticed the speed/pickup if u know what I mean.

Looking forward to comparison on the pod,,,my standard grandat to a Z :bow:

These are certainly a very fast motor as I have seen a few Police cars round london take off on a call from standstill....Fookin quick i'd say.....and they were estates with all their equipment in them so your saloon will be quicker once modded.
